Can I also watch concerts offline?

The Digital Concert Hall app for iOS and Android devices offers an offline mode that allows video content to be cached on the device. Offline mode allows you to use the Digital Concert Hall without an internet connection – e.g. on holiday, while travelling or when the internet connection is poor. The video content can be saved in HD or SD, depending on the preference set. The HD format requires longer storage or loading times and takes up more space on your device. The SD format loads faster and saves storage space, but the picture quality is lower. Furthermore, the iOS apps offer you the option of choosing between Hi-Res Audio and Standard Audio sound quality. Saved video content cannot and may not be reproduced and is only playable for as long as your ticket or subscription is valid. If your ticket or subscription ends, the video content remains on your device but cannot be played again until you have purchased a new paid access. Offline video content can also be played on your TV using the AirPlay function.

How can I broadcast concerts on my TV?

Google Cast and Apple TV boxes offer you the possibility of streaming the Digital Concert Hall on your TV. You do not need a Smart TV for this. Both devices are connected to your TV via HDMI. You can now connect your smartphone or tablet to Google Cast or the Apple TV box via a Wi-Fi connection and enjoy the Digital Concert Hall on your TV. With the Digital AV Adapter from Apple and an HDMI cable, you can also connect your iPhone or iPad directly to a TV. Please note that the video resolution in this case is limited to 1080p.

How can I use Google Cast?

Google Cast is supported by our Android and iOS apps. Activate the Google Cast icon in our app. You will find it in every concert listing, directly in the player as well as on the main page. From there, you can connect our app to any compatible device via Google Cast. You can also use the icon to disconnect. Further information can be found here .

How can I use AirPlay (Apple)?

If you own an Apple TV, you have the option of streaming the Digital Concert Hall for example from your iPad or iPhone to your TV. Simply activate the AirPlay symbol in our app. You will find it directly in the player every time you select a video. From there, you can connect our app to your Apple TV via AirPlay. You can also use the icon to disconnect. Further information can be found here .

How can I use CarPlay (Apple)?

First, please make sure that CarPlay is available on your car radio. Also install the Digital Concert Hall app on your iPhone and register or log in. If the app is already installed, please update it if possible. Important: to be compatible with CarPlay, iOS 14 or higher should be installed on your iPhone. As soon as your iPhone is connected to your car via CarPlay, the Digital Concert Hall app will automatically appear on the display of the car radio. To keep mobile data consumption low, we recommend using our offline mode .

How can I choose another work/concert with Google Cast?

If you want to select another work or concert, first exit the player and then search for the desired concert. The broadcast will continue on your TV until a new concert has been selected. (Unless you press “play/pause”.) You can also exit the app while a concert is playing, for example, to check your emails. The concert simply continues when using the internet elsewhere.

How can I configure settings for push notifications?

To do this, please go to the “settings” area of your device outside the app. Under “notifications” you have the option of customising the notifications for the respective app.
